Blending wines

I'm making two gallons of raspberry wine and would like to blend it with a Riesling to give it a more mellow flavor.   Does anyone have any experience with this?  Can I use an inexpensive Riesling like Yellow Tail, or do I need to go with something better?  Any recommendations on proportions for the blending?

I personally dislike yellowtail so i would never recommend you use for anything other then culturing vinager bugs.
even then i would want something better.

shone & son's spatllaze riesling, its alright, cheap, and comes in magnums.
i would not spend a lot the raspberry will cover up a fair amount.

but i suggest you do test mixes, scaled down, then scale them up. that way you can find a mix you like.
it is hard to make suggestion over the net without tasting the wine, but generally you are trying to balance them out.
one word of advice, once you find a mix you like, bottle one bottle and let it sit for a few days to a week to let it meld properly.
